Risk Manager

A very exciting Risk Manager position has just become available at a growing financial services based in São Paulo. You would become an important senior member of the team reporting directly to the Country Manager and to the Global Head of Risk. You will be responsible for overseeing the Risk area and its frameworks, supporting the business with risk analysis and reports, working together with the business teams and driving other risk management initiatives for continuous improvement.

The primary responsibilities of the Risk Manager position will be:

• To oversee and manage risk, assessing credit risks involved in the local investments, as well as acting independently and providing input to the Lending team in structured and securitized assets so that they can anticipate and prevent issues, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting of risk factors across multiple risk types.
• To conduct mapping of risk factors and their impacts on invested portfolios.
• To control projections based on portfolio behavior and support portfolio monitoring.
• Conduct reporting and collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend risk reports for the Risk Management Committee, senior management, and other stakeholders.
• To provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management, helping to shape the overall risk management strategy, including staying updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
• Coordinating Credit Committees and follow-up until the final decisions are made.

For this Risk Manager position you will need:

• At least 5+ years of experience in wholesale credit risk management at banks, non-banking financial institutions or rating companies.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration or Sciences.
• Knowledge of securitization structures and FIDCs.
• The ability to communicate clearly and objectively with senior stakeholders.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Market, liquidity and operational risk knowledge.
