Assistant Manager Operations (Luxury retail)

The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the efficient daily operations of a high-end retail boutique. Working closely with store leadership, this role ensures the implementation of operational best practices, inventory control, compliance, and overall process excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update operational policies and procedures; ensure staff are properly trained and compliant.
• Conduct regular mock audits to ensure audit-readiness and adherence to inventory and financial protocols
• Manage local operating expenses, working closely with financial teams to track and report on costs.
• Oversee compliance with payment processes, including cash, credit, and wire transactions.
• Coordinate supply chain activities, including order management and product reassignment to clients.
• Partner with risk and security teams on store safety, inventory management, and audit preparation.
• Supervise after-sales service operations, liaising with internal departments as needed.
• Support document translation needs for internal teams.
• Identify and recommend improvements to streamline store operations.
• Assist with the rollout and training of new systems and tools.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard business software.
• Previous experience in retail operations; luxury retail experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
