Payroll Team Leader

A very exciting Payroll Team Leader position has just become available at a global Chemical and science company based in Curitiba. You would become an important member of the team and would be working with colleagues in Brasil, Mexico and the US.

The primary responsibilities of the Payroll Team Leader position will be:

• To be part of the Global Payroll department focused on delivering Local Payroll Expertise for the 3 countries.
• To lead a team of experts staying up to date with local payroll legal, regulatory and tax rules, training and supporting the Operations team.
• Operational Excellence: Ensuring timely and accurate processing of all time and payroll activities. Monitoring and managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to maintain high levels of service quality.
• Team Leadership & Global Expertise: Lead payroll teams in three countries. Serve as a global payroll expert, providing guidance and support across the organization.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Analyze and assess the impact of new legislation and HR agreements on payroll processes. Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Maintain the confidentiality and security of all payroll-related information.
• Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: Provide support and expertise to colleagues, internal stakeholders, and external authorities. Manage relationships with external payroll providers. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives related to payroll.
• Continuous Improvement: Create detailed functional specifications for process improvements and system changes. Participate in payroll transformation projects and support local implementation. Drive continuous improvement within the payroll function.

For this Payroll Team Leader position you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or a related field.
• Strong experience in Brazil in an industrial company.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
• Strong knowledge of HR systems such as SAP HR, payroll systems and time management systems.
• Comfortable managing large amounts of data, an advanced user of Spreadsheets (e.g. Excel) and reports.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer orientation with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  

In this Team Leader Payroll position, you will have the opportunity to become a primary point of contact for the team in Brasil and will have international contact with global teams in the Americas and Europe too.
