Senior Node.Js Back-End Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Nod.JS Back-End Engineer to work for a company of rapidly growing network of hospitality and entertainment subsidiaries. Whether it’s hosting a large scale corporate event, or bringing some of the biggest names in the music industry to the stage their goal is to ensure their guests’ experience is one they’ll want to have again and again.

You will be working in a horizontal and multicultural environment to help the Digital Team create complete end-to-end web applications and support the product team with QA and Testing.

They expect you to work closely with the C-Levels and Business Areas to be a technical reference inside the squad, engaging with other developers to identify root problems and provide regular support.

You will be allowed to work entirely remotely and manage your working hours on a flexible basis. And last, but definitely not least, you'll have to opportunity to relocate to Canada if that's what you want as a next step on your career.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Help creating end-to-end applications using NodeJS, MongoDB, and Next.js.
• Integrate with popular tools such as AWS, Github, Heroku.
• Engage with other developers to identify root problems and create fixes.
• Perform QA tests.
• Participate in agile project planning and stand up meetings.
• Work on API documentation and any other documentation as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Have a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript - we’re a Node.js, TypeScript, React (Next.js) platform.
• Experience with Git.
• Best practices and DevOps.
• Scrum, Kanban, Slack.
• Strong written and communication skills, with the ability to translate complicated technical systems to non-technical people for better understanding.
• Curious and learning mindset - about the latest languages, frameworks, best practices or the tech industry in general.
• Rise to a challenge and can handle change and uncertainty, at times.
• Team-player who can collaborate constantly
• Self-starter, a problem-solver, and a creative thinker.
